Detailed Itinerary: 5 DAY ISLAND ESCAPE & GORILLA ADVENTURE
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda – Journey to the Tropical Ssese Islands
Our guide will meet you at the airport or your hotel in Entebbe. You will set off through the lively streets of Entebbe, a charming lakeside town known for its colonial history and beautiful greenery. As you travel to the ferry terminal in Nakiwogo, anticipation builds for your first destination, the beautiful Ssese Islands.
Board the ferry and cruise across the clear waters of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake and watch local fishermen going about their daily lives.
Upon arrival in Kalangala at Lutoboka port, you will transfer to your lodge, where lush palm tree vegetation meets the calm shores of the lake. Spend the evening unwinding with a refreshing drink and dinner as the sun sets over the water, painting the sky in shades of orange.

Day 2: Discover and explore the Beauty of Kalangala
Today is dedicated to exploring the charm of the Ssese Islands. You will visit local fishing communities, relax on secluded beaches and enjoy optional activities such as kayaking, sport fishing, cycling and quad biking, lake tubing and water games, hiking and sunset watching, swinging and board games, lake tours and boat cruise, bird watching and lake swimming.
Take time to slow down, breathe deeply, and embrace the peaceful rhythm of island life. In the evening, gather around a bonfire under a sky full of stars, sharing stories of the day’s adventures.

Day 3: From Island Paradise to Uganda’s Ancient Rainforest (Kalangala to Bwindi)
You will make stopovers for photographs and lunch in Mbarara before arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will then head far southwest to Bwindi you will reach in the evening. Dinner and overnight before tomorrow’s unforgettable adventure.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After the trek in the afternoon you will transfer to lake Bunyonyi, a beautiful lake dotted with several islands enjoying an optional canoe ride while admiring the lake’s stunning scenery and later return to your lodge to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime achievement and have dinner while reflecting on one of Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters.

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi Boat Cruise and Transfer back to Entebbe
